Innovating for children
Now, more than ever, innovation is critical to building a better world with and for children. We must do more collectively, we must act faster together, to design, use and scale truly transformational solutions for every child to thrive.
Alongside a wide range of partners who are leaders in innovation ecosystems and share a passion for making sure children are at the centre of impact, our focus is on diverse, issue-focused portfolios that are central to children’s well-being.
From climate change to gender equality to mental health, our goal is to move the needle at the intersection of issue and innovation… for meaningful, sustainable impact.
At JRDS, innovation takes many forms. From tech innovation that benefits equitably, including powerful tools like artificial intelligence and block chains. But just as important are the many frugal innovations that can easily be adopted, adapted and scaled up
JRDS believes that unless members of the civil society are involved proactively in the process of development, sustainable change will not happen. We encourage and invite individuals for volunteer opportunities and volunteer registration, to be an active part of our organization and share the same vision and purpose as us – to work for the welfare of children, society and their families. Volunteers are the backbone of every organization – they not only carry the organization’s ideals within them, but also spread the message far and beyond, sensitizing the society towards the cause. Volunteer for NGO, volunteer to serve, spread some joy!
Volunteers can play a really important role in an organisation, bringing in extra time and expertise as a social responsibility as we are non-profit organization. At the headquarters, volunteers can be engaged for general help around the office with their expertise or provide a particular service. Volunteers can also assist in fundraising. we mobilise volunteers for (part of) the implementation of our programmes. There are some costs involved in engaging volunteers though, as volunteers need supervision and compensation for expenses e.g. travel.
We believe Organising an event is a proven method to mobilise funds and support for a cause. The range of event types is sheer endless and new, creative events are invented every day. One can raise a lot of funds with an event that is well organised. It is wise not to choose a one-off event, but to select or develop one that can become a recurring activity (e.g. annually). Thus, the experience of the organisers and public awareness can grow by repetition and very often profits will grow as well.
Network fundraising means that we approach new donors through our own networks and contacts. A ‘friend-to-friend’ approach works like an inkblot. This method is especially effective as we cooperate with so called ‘connectors’, meaning people who know a lot of other people and people who are well known and respected in their community and who are prepared to spread the message amongst their network. But any existing donor or other well-wisher can also be a good source to bring in new donors. we also involve the own staff and board members of an organisation to promote the cause. People are more easily inclined to give when directly asked by a person they know and respect rather than when asked by a stranger.
Network fundraising is done through social media such as Social Media, through e-mailing or through personal contact. This way of fundraising done by our organisation but works especially as we have good track record and transparency.
Meeting potential individual donors face to face offers opportunities to mobilise support and funding. After all, personal contact has a stronger impact than any other form of communication. Personal solicitation is a time-intensive way of mobilising support, which, depending on the size of the gift we are planning to ask.
Over the past ten years, fundraising via online media has literally exploded. However, we know that some continents and countries have a much stronger access to the internet than others. But it is undeniable that almost everywhere in the world the situation is changing quite rapidly. This technological transformation creates a vast potential for fundraising via online giving platforms, mobile phones and social networks. The evident advantages of e-giving are the speed, flexibility, low cost, wide outreach and online help that this type of fundraising provides. Often, online fundraising is combined with other types of off-line, live activities, such as events.
Apart from money, support in kind can be a very good additional way of mobilising resources needed for us and our cause. Many people are more willing to contribute donations in kind than to give money. This applies to individuals as well as companies.
This option allows us to put out a call for donations that can quickly and easily attract donors who may be able to make gifts of all sizes. This option has viral potential and we use it to raise money for a certain project or to quickly bring in money for an unforeseen need that requires a quick response, such as bringing in contributions to help people affected by a sudden tragedy or unexpected repairs to the facility where our organization provides services to the community.
Grant Assistance from Government, Entities, Reputed Agencies, International Organizations, Companies and many other platforms can be provided as Grant-in-aid scheme which provides financial assistance to us for taking up action programmes/projects for the benefit of society.
